Amazing Learning Center understands how important it is for parents to know what is happening at their child’s school. To keep parents informed about school activities, the director and teachers prepare a monthly newsletter on topics ranging from field trip announcements to helpful hints about parenting to humorous events in the classroom.
To further encourage communication between parents and staff, we encourage parents, grandparents or other family members to visit the child’s classroom at any time to see what activities are taking place. Parents are urged to observe and participate often. Families never require appointments to visit our schools.
Additional opportunities for parents and families to become involved in their children’s experiences include:
Parent-Teacher Conferences - Periodically throughout the year teachers may meet with parents to discuss their child’s progress. Parents may request a conference at any time.
Volunteers - Parents are always welcome to volunteer in the school. We encourage them to participate in any part of our daily program and special activities. Parents are also encouraged to share their talents and hobbies with the school.
Parent Bulletin Board - A special area is set aside for important notices, special events, or articles of interest.
Progress Reports - Children receive individual progress reports three times during the school year.
Open House - Children, parents, other family members, friends, and community representatives are invited to Open Houses held at the school.
Parent Workshops - Workshops and informational meetings for parents are planned through the year to aid in their understanding of the early childhood years.
The above methods were our attempts to ensure that parents have many ways to be involved with our program and their child's success in our day care and child care programs.
